NOW OFFERING A CURATED COLLECTION OF HANDWOVEN SCARVES

Sydney Sogol is a handweaver creating unique, limited edition, one-of-a-kind, luxury, wearable art. She draws inspiration from her years studying art, ornithology, and marine biology. Each piece Sydney creates in her home studio pays tribute to a single creature's unique beaut and story. To achieve this she hand paints and dyes yarn that mimics the gorgeous colors found in birds and ocean creatures. These colors are then combined in complex, original patterns on 8, 16, and 24 shaft looms, resulting iin stunning accessories. Each one tells a vivid, visual story from a distance that transforms into one full of luscious details when up close, similar to how magnificent animals colors and patterns change when viewed from a distance and up close.

Sydney primarily works with lyocell or tencel, an eco-friendly wood pulp yarn that is manufactured in a close circuit loop. minimizing its environmental impact by reusing all water and only non-toxic chemicals! Lyocell is a dream to dye, weave and wear. It drapes softly, creating lightweight, desirable wearables with luster and an eye catching presence.

" I am constantly inspired by the beautiful colors and pattern s in nature, and they way those colors and pattern interact with each other and their surroundings. My work allows me to express and share hat joy with others, and hopefully create a space to slow down and reconnect with nature."
