Lets get into some behind the scenes info on the Capelets.
Splendid Fairy Wren Capelets were woven in a small batch run using my 100% plant based exotic fiber blends. These capelets are made with sustainability in mind. Each one is woven with a medium weight tencel paired with a uniqure blend of tencel with cotton/hemp , seacell,rose, hemp, or dandelion! I hand paint and dye tencel yarn, made from eucalyptus trees, which is one of the most environmentally friendly and sustainable yarns out there! They have a wonderful drape and are luxuriously soft.
The pattern I designed for the Splendid Fairy Wren Capelet had to be something that had a fun play on shapes with curves in it. I went with a networking draft pattern, which created a pattern that embodied the roundness of the wren's little body and reminded me of bubbles. The various shades of blue and black created a fabric with a nice sense of whimsy to it.
Wearing these Capelets brings out your confidence, as seen in these pictures from the Paris photoshoot. I do not like being in front of the camera but wearing the capelets gave me a boost in confidence because I was wearing such a dreamy garment. It made me feel fabulous and it will make you feel good and put together as well!✨
